Last week I decided to make a quick trip to Vegas to visit my sister, her husband and their sweet little baby, London. Jared was going to be gone for work so I thought it would be a good idea to get away.
It was Luke’s first time flying and I thought to myself, “Self, how bad could it be? It’s only an hour flight?”
{Luke waiting for the plane to take off}
Well let’s break it down:
Drive to the airport: 1 Hour
Checking in, waiting to go through security: 1 hour
Waiting to board the plane: 1 hour
Sitting on the plane waiting to take off: 30 min.
Flight time: 1 hour
Waiting to get off the plane: 30 min
Waiting for luggage at baggage claim: 30 min
All of this equals 1 tired momma & 1 EXTREMELY tired baby
When all was said and done I should have just DROVE. It would have been less time and Luke would have been able to sleep in the car.
Live and learn for next time. (Wait, not sure there will be a next time?)

While we were in Vegas we went shopping, swimming, and ate A LOT.
It was so great to see my sister and her family, BUT I am so glad to be home.
Glad to be back to our routine.
Luke wasn’t too sure about sleeping in someone else’s crib, so he is happy to have his crib back and so am I.
It really is a lot of work. My parents always say its only an hour. Well they get to be the ones to greet us, not to do all the work involved in that so called one hour trip. Glad you had fun. Isn't it always nice to be back home though?
ReplyDeleteI am glad you guys came! I can't believe we didn't even take any pics when you were here...lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm flying to Vegas next month to see my parents. It's out second time and I'm not looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteOn another note... if ever you want a driving buddy to Vegas, let me know. We could car pool down there, visit our families, and get together to car pool back home.
Sometimes traveling with kids just isn't worth it. I am glad you got to go and see Lindsay.
