One year ago today...

...I went on my very first date with Jared. We had just got home from our trip to Moab and he asked me to go to a movie the following Thursday. He said that he had a final that night but would love to go see a movie afterwards to de-stress. So about 10:00pm we went to see the movie, Chronicles of Narnia. We hit it off right away and pretty much talked through the whole movie. We then drove back to our apartment complex (we both lived in Chambery condos) where we continued to talk in his car. We decided to go to my apartment for a bit and hang out there. We stayed up til 4:00am! We both had work that next day, but niether one of us cared because we were having so much fun. I really had no idea that night how much this man would change my life.
It's crazy to look back one year ago today and realize how different my life was. Then to think back 2 years prior to today just boggles my mind. It is a night and day difference. I know I say this all too much, but I am so grateful Jared is in my life. I still pinch myself everyday that I have him as my husband. I have honestly never been happier and now we are going to be starting our family soon which is even more exciting.
Jared and I decided to celebrate the anniversary of our first date as well. We feel this anniversary is just as important because it is the day that changed both of our lives forever. Since Jared left this morning to Asia, we celebrated last night. When I got home from work the roses were waiting on the table for me. He took me to my favorite restuarant, Macaroni Grill, for dinner even though he had a lot of packing to do! We had such a fun night. I am sad he isn't here today, but I hope he is having a great trip. I look forward to many more anniversaries with him.

Though it sucks Jared is gone and so far away right now. How long will he be away? Hopefully not too long! It'll have gone by super fast though once you look back at it.
