Leavin on a jet plane...

Friday I leave for Asia. I'll travel to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Thailand. This isn't for work, but for the Foreign Business Excursion that is part of my MBA program. This is great news--not just because it will be an amazing trip, but because it means my MBA program is almost over! It's been a great two years, but I'm ready to be done with class, and homework, and projects. It will be nice to have some free time again. I just hope I'm not too bored when school is finally over.

It will be hard to leave Kristin for two weeks. I don't like the idea of being apart from her, especially while she is pregnant. But, I'm glad that she has been doing so great. We have been so blessed throughout her pregnancy. Kristin became pregnant as soon as we started trying, she hasn't had any morning sickness, the baby has been developing well, and every test has come back without any problems. We feel so lucky that everything has gone so smoothly. We just hope and pray that it keeps going that way. It's scary when you think of everything that could go wrong during pregnancy. I think it's amazing that so many babies are born healthy. When you think about the process involved in creating a human being and everything that could go wrong in the process, it's really a miracle that things turn out so well so often.

Kristin has handling all this really well. She is tired and hungry all the time, but other than that she has been doing great. I tease her that she has been acting "stern" lately, but I really can't complain at all. I've got the best wife in the world and I can't wait to see her as a mother. She's going to be a great mom. This has been a long time coming for both of us and we are so excited. Only 184 days to go!
