Hello friends--- I’m not sure anyone is reading this blog
anymore, but I thought I would give an update about Ruby’s birthday coming up.
Ruby’s 5th birthday and angel day are coming up in
October.
I have decided not to do the giveaways this year.
Sad, I know.
Hopefully I won’t regret it.
However, we will still be working on projects to remember her.
If you would like to participate, we would love it!
I contacted the bereavement coordinator for Utah Valley
hospitals and they are in need of little gowns to be sewn for babies.
If you are a sewer and want to help out I’ve posted the pattern
below (to be printed out on 8.5x11 paper).
I haven’t sewn one yet so I’m hoping I can figure it
out.
I can also email the pattern to anyone who would like it, it
would probably be easier to print it from the email.
She said a cotton or knit fabric is best and also light colors
or baby patterns preferred.
I will be making these along with lily wrap blankets (These are super easy-only beginning sewing skills required).
We could also use fabric donations to make the blankets & gowns if you want to help, but aren't a sewer.
I’ll also be putting together necklaces to hand out to those
that have lost a child.
Please let me know if you want to be a part of this service for
others in need.
I can’t believe Ruby would be 5 years old this year.
We are excited to continue to do things in remembrance of
her.
Also, I'm looking for any ideas, including service ideas, that my little family could do on the day of her birthday. Please share anything you can think of!
