Hello friends!
I thought I should put it on here that you might be seeing me less and less on this blog.
I’ve decided to take a break from it.
I have loved having this blog.
It has been an amazing way to document my life and share my thoughts.
It was my therapy as I wrote about my emotions and struggles with losing Ruby.
It was my way to document the ups and downs of motherhood and talk about my religion.
It was a way to stay connected to people when we lived far away.
I’ve also been able to connect with so many new people that I’ve never met.
However, lately I haven’t had that desire or urge to write down and share meaningful things on this blog like I’ve had in the past.
Instead, I’ve only been posting our day to day activities, which is rather boring, especially to people who don’t know us personally.
Here’s the thing. After I blog I also keep a digital scrapbook where I document and journal about our lives as well.
Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m not using my time wisely.
After I write on the blog about my daily life and I also have to scrapbook it, which means double the time.
I decided to cut out the blogging part and go straight to scrapbooking it.
I’m saving the day to day business for instagram.
No one really cares that we made another trip to the museum and played at the park on Thursday anyway, except me.
This blog will stay put, but I’ll only be posting on it if there is something I feel needs to be shared.
This was a hard decision to come to, but I think it’s that season in my life to place it on hold.
Thank you to everyone who has followed us along the way.
Keep in touch.
Much love to you all!

ReplyDeleteI know how hard this was! I think about going back to blogging all the time. But now that I write in a personal journal and have chatbooks, it isn't a priority. I'm glad we are close enough that I still get to see what you guys are doing. :) love you!
ReplyDeleteThe last time I wrote in my blog was April 1, 2014!! You've done awesome and keeping it going! I agree that it is just too much...simplify, simplify, simplify. I love Chatbooks and don't really do anything other than that anymore. Glad I still get to see what is going on in your life. :)
ReplyDeleteLove ya, Kristin. Glad we can keep up with your day to day on IG, etc. :) - BreighAn
ReplyDeleteI think this is an ok thing to do. I am so impressed that you have faithfully worked on your scrapbook. I am going to learn from you.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about doing this too! What are you using to scrapbook? I've been on the search for something I can use online so I can still just print up a year end book. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hey!! I do a lot of it through photoshop and then printing thru blurb. However, lately I've been using the project life app. It's the best thing ever. You can drop your pictures in right from your phone, edit them and use Siri to journal on your pages. Then I just print them out as a 12x12 page and slip them in sheet protectors or order a hard bound book through blurb.
