I decided to keep Hank’s birthday pretty simple this year, much to Luke’s dismay.
I think after Luke’s surprise birthday party last year, he has a false sense of how every birthday has to be.
Anyway, Jared was getting back into town that day after a long out-of-the-country trip so I decided to keep it a family day.
Hank woke up to a birthday song:
He got to blow out a candle in his breakfast muffin and he thought it was the coolest thing ever.
We waited for Jared to get home to open presents, which just about killed Luke.
After presents we headed out as a family to Jungle Jims where we spent most the night letting the boys go crazy riding rides and playing games.
After we wore them out we took them to Chick Fila for chicken nuggets and ice cream.
They got to play a little more at Chick Fila on the play set and slept well that night.
I think Luke thought it was his birthday and has played more with his toys than Hank.
I think Hank had a great day too though.
