Hank at 11 months

Hank turned 11 months on June 3rd.

I really can’t believe that he is almost a year.

I know everyone says that, but it is crazy how fast it has gone.

Here are some things about him at 11 months:

He is finally mobile.

He makes his way around the house two different ways.

The first way:

It is a very uncoordinated army type crawl, but it does the job.

And the second:

He prefers this way and has gotten faster since this video was taken.

He has 7 teeth with one more that has cut through.

I also think that his top left front tooth looks chipped, which could have happened who knows when, but it could also just be that way.

I love the little gap between his teeth and his scrunched nose smile.

He has started getting into everything.

He prefers cupboards instead of toy bins and will pull just about everything out of them.

His favorite thing to do lately is flipping the door stopper and pulling off the white rubber tip.

I’m going to have to glue them on.

He loves to eat, but only if it is real food and not baby food.

His favorite foods include bread, quesadillas, rice & beans, waffles, and applesauce.

He also loves his sippy cup of water.

When he is done eating he just throws the rest of his food on the floor and bangs his sippy cup on the table.

He has good manners.

He likes to be moving.

When we are in the car, going for a walk in the stroller or in a shopping cart he likes it to be moving.

He will let you know he isn’t happy that it isn’t moving.

He is a mama’s boy and cries when I leave the room.

He also loves his dad and always wants to be held by him when he gets home from work.

He also loves Luke and will laugh at pretty much anything he does.

Also, do you see that fireplace grate in the background.

He has broken three of those votives because he won’t stay away from it. He loves throwing them on the tile floor.

He likes when Luke will play with him, but isn’t liking the rough housing that Luke wants to do.

He loves his jumper and usually bounces (and screams) in it for a quite awhile every morning while I get ready.

He loves being outside and hanging out.

One day we were outside on the blanket watching Luke play on the swing set.

Every time Luke went down the slide Hank gave him a fake courtesy laugh.

It was so funny.

He also likes to take his turn on the swing set.

He can say mama, dada, baba (bottle), and shake his head no.

He will do sing language for more and all done…sometimes.

He also likes to scream when he is excited.

He has learned how to go from his belly to the sitting up position this past week, which means naptime has been a nightmare.

The minute I lay him down he rolls on his belly and then sits up.

The problem is he doesn’t know how to get back down, which mean no nap.

He better figure this out soon.

Today I looked over at my video monitor and noticed he was standing up in his crib!

I ran in there before he fell, but then he just kept doing it.

Let’s just say the crib moved down to the bottom notch tonight.

He is full of energy always keeping us on our toes, but making us smile all day.

He is the happiest baby and gives anyone a good grin.

We love our Hanky!

  2. Brady has the same thing with his tooth and I've always wondered about that too. I loved the picture of him standing up in the crib. That is just so crazy. I can't even imagine Brynn doing it. Do you think that means she never will? ha. I can't wait until he is running around and him and Luke are playing and playing. It won't be long!
