{It wouldn’t be a Warburton family party without someone rigging up some outdoor contraption}
It was a beautiful Easter weekend with gorgeous weather.
We made sure to stop and wish Ruby a happy Easter too.
We were happy to spend time with both families celebrating a holiday that means so much to me.
Thank you family for making it a great weekend.
*******************************************************************************************
Every night Luke wants me to tell him a bedtime story.
He usually wants to hear about him as a baby or mom as a baby.
I am running out of memories so I have been starting to make up stories about me.
Anyway, after I am done he always has to tell me a story too.
Usually they are quite interesting. I have no idea where he comes up with most of the stuff.
Last night, however, he told me the story about Jesus and the resurrection.
Here are some of the details I wrote down just so I could remember:
Jesus died and went to heaven where Ruby is
Mean guys put nails in his hands and something on his head (crown of thorns)
We were sad cuz we love Jesus, but mean guys don’t
Angel moved the rock and knocked down the mean guys (guards)
Mary went to the tomb but it was empty cuz Jesus was ALIVE!
In between every line he would say we love Jesus huh, mom?
It was a sweet moment as a mother to hear that what I have been teaching him (along with Primary) is really setting in.
Hope you all had a great Easter!
What a smart boy! Love that he knows all of that. So cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet!! I love this holiday and teaching the real meaning. Ryan's primary sub must have been talking about how because of the resurrection, we can be with our loved ones who pass away again. She asked him about Annie and he said, "I don't know how everyone knows about Annie, I don't talk about her all the time." It made me smile that people talk about her with him. He sure does love his sister. Glad you guys had such a wonderful holiday.
