Hairy Situation

Last night I went to my usual hair appointment.

We did the usual color and cut.

I always ask if there is anything new or different we could try with long hair, but we usually stick with the standard colors and cut.

I have thought about cutting it to give me a change, but I have done this several times in the past and while I like it, it seems like a lot of maintenance for me.

I always end up growing it back out.

We all know how fun growing hair out is.

I will cut it when I decide that I want to be committed to short hair for a really long time.

But for now long hair just suits me better.

So here is the situation for you:

Last night my hairdresser suggested trying the Ombre look with my long hair.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it is a pretty bold and trendy look that is in style right now. It may even be on it’s way out the door if it isn’t already.

The hair starts out pretty dark at the roots and gradually fades down to blonde.

She wanted me to go home and think about it and look at pictures and see if I want to do it.

I am always up for something new even if it is a little daring, but I need your help on this one.

Is this look just too out there?

Too much like I just have bad roots?

  1. I like it. Shelbey was going to do it but decided she wanted a crazy cut instead... I think you should do it! If you dont like it just color it again.

  3. I like it. I actually never knew it had it's own name I always thought Whitney ports hair was just like that. I think I like the Hilary duff picture the best her fading is really pretty and the brown is a pretty color.

  4. i think it is cute. My only problem with it is that I think I like the lightness in my hair around my face....I think this style would make me feel too dark. Try it though! You might really like it...and it is an easy fix if you don't.

  5. Mmm not sure, I like the first two pictures fine, but I think the color on the last two looks bad like it is grown out and needs a color! Lol. Did that help? Lol Probably not!

  7. I like this look, in fact I was rocking it for a good 2 months however it wasn't on purpose and it didn't look good. Tt was because I couldn't get in to my hair lady. Anywho, I think there are only a few people who could pull this look off and you are one of them. If you don't like it you can always go back and have them do the roots.
