KOA camping

At the first of the month my whole family took a little break and went camping.

{Jared won’t call it camping since we stay in cabins}

Even though I have a small family with only 2 sisters, it was a miracle that we were all there.

I can’t remember the last time that my two sisters, myself, my parents, husbands and all the kids were together.

It was great.

We went to a campground up Nephi canyon that we use to go to every year as children.

It use to be called KOA but now they have changed the name.

It will forever be KOA to me.

Most of my childhood memories stem from this place and I have nothing but fond memories.

We have decided to carry on the camping tradition with our kids in hopes that they will have the same type of memories with their cousins.

It was such a great trip.

It was in the midst of us moving and having a house full of chaos, but it was definitely worth taking a break from.

Hank did awesome, slept through the night, and was mellow the whole time.

Luke was with his cousins the whole time, we never had to entertain him.

They ran through the sprinklers, played on the playground, dug in the sand, and played in the cabins.

It was so fun to walk by the cabin and hear them all giggling inside.

This was exactly what I wanted out of this camping trip for my kids.

Summertime memories with their cousins at my favorite spot.

Heck, I wanted to go back in time and be the kid again.

We had fun as adults there too.

The men spent some time fishing, we played lawn games and card games and ate really yummy food.

When we were packing up to go Luke said, “Mom, I’m sad. I love it here and want to stay.”

I know son, me too.

Me too.

  1. Looks fun! And I am with you-it's camping if you're in the mountains and not in a hotel!
