I started this post the day I went into labor, but still wanted to finish it up and get up to date with where things are now.
Two weekends ago we spent the day at Lagoon Amusement Park with my sister, her husband and kids.
It was hot.
100 degrees hot.
I was hoping it would send me into labor, but it didn’t quite do the trick.
All I did was sweat.
We did cool off for a bit at the water park, but it was still too hot to be outside.

Everyone thought I was crazy for going, but I would rather get out and do something to take my mind off of being big and pregnant.
I’m not quite sure this helped since it made be realize how big and pregnant I was, but it was still so fun watching Luke ride all the rides.
He loved them all and even went on a roller coaster with Jared.
We wore Luke right out because he fell asleep mi-drink on the way home.
We have also been spending a lot of time house hunting.
I have a love/hate relationship with it.
I love the thought of having a new house, a permanent place, but it is so hard to find what we want.
We hope to find something soon, but I think we might be way too picky!
It has been really hot here lately so we have been staying inside a lot, but both Luke and I get cabin fever easily so we got out of the house a couple times to hit up the splash pad.
I am limited to splash pads since I still have my bell’s palsy and can’t close my eye. Chlorine in the eye is no fun.
We went to the Riverwoods splash pad which lasted about 15 minutes and then we stopped for ice cream.
I also took him to a Noah’s ark themed splash pad at Thanksgiving point.
This one lasted longer and I liked it too because I could wade my feet.
I also made time to go get one last pregnancy massage.
It was much needed after my day at Lagoon.
Some other big news is that my sister, Andrea, has finally moved back to Utah.
It will be so great having her closer even though she is still a couple hours away.
It will also be nice to visit her for a mini getaway since it’s not too far away.
I have been receiving a lot of baby gifts and I am in love with all of them.
I have such great friends that have sent me packages and I love everything I have been given.
It’s so nice to be thought of and have stuff just for baby Hank.
I put Luke into a summer music & movement class and he is at the perfect age for this.
We go every Tuesday and even I move and dance around (again, hoping to go into labor).
We went to class last Tuesday and then headed to my doctor’s visit.
I was quite surprised at my doctor’s appointment when she checked my progress and I was dilated to a 5.
I knew we were getting close when my doctor was nervous I wasn’t in labor yet.
About an hour later my contractions started…
Birth story to follow.
I can't wait to hear his birth story! That is awesome you were dilated to a 5 and still walking around. We want to come and visit you soon and bring you dinner. I'll text you soon!
