Let Freedom Ring

For once having a holiday on a Sunday turned out to be great! We got to celebrate for three days instead of just one.

Saturday:

We hung out with Jared’s friend, Scott and his kiddos. Ate at Taco Amigo with them and played “The Golf Game” until the fireworks started. We headed over to the perfect spot to watch the fireworks…the cemetery.

Sunday:

We went to a BBQ at Jared’s brother’s home. It’s an annual tradition. We invited my parents to come along too. A tradition in my family is to have a shrimp boil whenever we can fit it in to holiday plans so Jared and Greg threw together a boil along with the BBQ. Of course, my plate, Jared’s plate, and my parent’s plates were only stack with boil food and nothing else. Afterwards, we watch the kiddos have their own fireworks show.

Monday:

Jared had the day off so we hung out at the pool most of the day. Luke LOVES the water and is one daring little boy. He doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything. I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Later that night we went out to eat at one of our favorite places, Zupas.

It was a great weekend and we are so grateful that we can enjoy weekends like this.

Happy Independence Day!!

  2. Oh I so wish we could have been there! And yes we all need to go to Zupas next time we all are there! That is definitely one of the Utah places I love, miss, and crave! Luke is getting so big!
