Happy Birthday

to my 6 month old Lukey! I cannot believe it has been 6 months already! Time has flown by too fast. Before I know it he will be running around the house.

He is still sleeping with his feet up on the bumper pad.

He loves his boat blanket that Grandma Pam made him. He will snuggle his face into it when I give it to him.

He will lay in his crib and talk to himself when he wakes up in the morning.

He has finally noticed we have a cat and has taken great interest in her lately. He will try to grab her tail when she walks by.

He loves music and will try to sing along when daddy plays the guitar. When he is upset, I can usually start singing and it calms him down. (I have never sang so much in my life!)

He LOVES rice cereal, baby mum mums and cherrios. He will say mmm the whole time while eating them.

He is really into growling right now, it makes me laugh every time.

He likes to try and bite my face. I think he is just trying to give me kisses.

He loves to people watch just like his momma.

He has a high pitched scream when he is excited.

He likes me to read books to him, but he wants hold the book and turn the pages himself.

He rolls from his back to his tummy and from his tummy to back, he prefers rolling on his right side. 

He recognizes certain songs we sing to him. He likes The Ants Go Marching, Patty Cake, Bushel and a Peck, Ten Little Indians, and Armies of Helaman. He gets excited whenever we start singing these songs.

He loves his bouncer and can getting it bouncing so hard it moves across the floor.

He loves to grab his feet and stick them in his mouth.

He loves to pull my hair and earrings. Again, I think he is just trying to give me loves.

He loves the baby bjorn carrier and won’t make a peep the whole time he is in it.

He is starting to recognize himself in the mirror. He will look in the mirror, smile, then look at me, smile, and repeat.

He is sitting up all by himself until he gets mad and arches his back.

He loves his hands right now. He loves to study and examine them quite frequently.

He is pretty stubborn about standing on his legs. He refuses to put weight on them and tucks them under his bum every time we try to get him to stand up.

He loves to kick his legs really fast and then lift them up in the air and slam them down on the ground.

He tries to hold his bottle and is excellent at pushing the bottle out of his mouth.

Daddy can always get him to laugh.

He constantly has his hands in his mouth and loves to chew on his thumb.

 

He still won’t take a binkie, but loves to hold it and chew on it.

He loves bath time in the big tub and makes a pretty big mess with how much he splashes.

He gets really excited when he sees his bottle and tries to grab it and put it in his mouth.

He is extremely ticklish on his belly & underarms.

He loves to try and take away anything that I have in my hands, especially my cell phone.

He loves to smile and laugh and makes his parents smile and laugh all day.
